Our Commitment to Safety, Health and Wellbeing
Keeping children safe, healthy and thriving every day
At Lili’s Early Learning Centre Hoppers Crossing, the safety, health and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected as they grow and learn.
A child-centred approach to safety and wellbeing
We place children at the heart of everything we do. Our educators and team members:
Ensure the best interests of each child guide every decision
Create environments where children feel secure, confident and supported
Encourage children to understand their rights, speak up, and seek help if needed
Promote strong, respectful relationships that foster emotional safety and wellbeing
Health, nutrition and wellbeing programs
Children’s health and wellbeing is supported through our daily practices, which include:
Fresh, nutritious meals prepared onsite to fuel learning and play
Regular opportunities for physical activity and outdoor exploration
Hygiene and safety practices embedded into daily routines
Programs that encourage positive self-esteem, resilience and confidence
Centre security and CCTV
At Lili’s Early Learning Centre Hoppers Crossing, the safety of children, families, and educators is our highest priority. Our centre is equipped with CCTV security cameras inside and outside the premises to help maintain a secure environment at all times.
These cameras provide additional peace of mind for families and support our commitment to child safety. Footage may also be accessed by authorities if required, in line with privacy and regulatory guidelines.
Our security systems work alongside strict access controls, child-safe policies, and staff training to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone in our care.
Commitment to child protection and safety
We are unwavering in our responsibility to keep children safe from harm. Our centre:
Follows a strict Child Protection Policy aligned with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
Trains all team members in child protection and reporting requirements
Implements rigorous recruitment and screening processes to ensure educators are suitable to work with children
Maintains safe physical and online environments through risk management and supervision protocols
Encourages open communication with families to identify and respond to any concerns promptly
Inclusive and culturally safe environments
At Lili’s Early Learning Centre, we value diversity and provide inclusive, culturally respectful care for all children and families. We celebrate each child’s background, culture and identity, and integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our programs to build awareness, respect and understanding.
Working together to protect and nurture children
We believe creating a safe and healthy environment is a shared responsibility. Our team works closely with families, community organisations and external agencies to ensure every child’s safety, health and wellbeing needs are met.
