Child Care Subsidy Information

Making childcare more affordable for families in Hoppers Crossing and surrounding suburbs

At Lili’s Early Learning Centre Hoppers Crossing, we understand that early learning is an important investment in your child’s future. The Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps make childcare and kindergarten more affordable, reducing out-of-pocket costs while supporting your child’s early learning journey.

What is the Child Care Subsidy?

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) assists families with the cost of childcare for children aged 0–13 years. CCS is income-tested and the amount you receive depends on factors such as:

  • Your family’s combined income

  • The hourly rate cap based on the type of approved care

  • The number of hours of recognised activity you and your partner do

Eligible families can use CCS for:

  • Long day care programs (Nursery, Toddler, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten)

  • Approved childcare services like Lili’s Early Learning Centre

How CCS works at Lili’s Early Learning Centre

If you are eligible, the subsidy is paid directly to Lili’s Early Learning Centre, reducing your weekly fees. You then pay the remaining gap amount, making it easier to manage your family’s childcare costs.

Who is eligible for CCS?

Most Australian families using approved childcare services are eligible if:

  • Your child is aged 0–13 years and meets immunisation requirements

  • You or your partner meet residency requirements

  • You undertake recognised activities such as work, study, training or volunteering

How to apply for CCS

You can apply for CCS through your MyGov account linked to Centrelink. Once approved, provide your CCS enrolment details to our team so we can finalise your subsidy arrangements and ensure your fees are adjusted accordingly.
